Ana est une jeune femme européenne. Elle est née quelques fois, elle a vécu très souvent, elle n’est encore jamais morte. Elle vous attendait. Elle a tant de choses à vous dire. Restez dans son dos, ouvrez l’œil, prêtez l’oreille. Ana a le don d’ubiquité. Elle regarde ici, et elle voit ce qui se passe ailleurs. Elle regarde maintenant, et elle voit ce qui s’est passé hier, ou ce qui va arriver demain. Ana est une sybille. Elle assiste aux derniers instants de l’Empire : les néo-démocraties seront bientôt tirées du rêve qu’elles faisaient sur elles-mêmes. C’est la fin d’une époque pourrie. Ana en a vu d’autres. Elle témoigne pour dans mille ans. Elle témoigne pour ceux qui survivront à nos désastres : les animaux, par exemple. Elle sait que « rien d’insolite ne peut se produire dans l’univers qui n’ait déjà eu lieu dans la durée infinie » (Epicure).
Ana is a young european woman. She was born sometimes, she lived very often, never dead yet. She was waiting for you. She has so much to say. Stay in her back, eyes open, listen. Ana has the gift of ubiquity. She looks here, and she sees what is happening elsewhere. She looks now, and she sees what happened yesterday or what will happen tomorrow. Ana is a sibyl. She attends the final moments of the Empire: the neo-democracies will soon be taken from the dream they were having on themselves. This is the end of a rotten era. Ana has been through worse than that. She testifies for a thousand years. She testifies to those who will survive our disasters: animals, for example. She knows that « nothing unusual can happen in the universe that ever happened in the infinite duration » (Epicurus).
